We are always looking into expanding our level of service. As our level of business increases over the upcoming year we will need additional service personnel to assist our customers. Experience:
Ø Retail sales experience in both jewelry sales and jewelry craft supply sales
Ø Jewelry making enthusiast.
Ø Basic experience with computers.
Ø Basic experience with common business procedures.
Duties:
Ø Basic Retail duties:
o Must dress in a manner appropriate for retail sales in an art gallery setting.
o Must be able to present jewelry for sale to customers.
o Must be able to present beading and glass art supplies for sale to customers.
o Must be courteous and welcome each customer as they come in.
o Must be able to take repair orders and custom design orders as instructed.
Ø Basic Jewelry making duties:
o Must understand basic crimping on beading wire.
o Must understand basic wire wrapping (wire wrap loops and simple loops).
o Must understand basic earring, bracelet and necklace construction.
o Must be able to assist customers with above skills.
o Note: More complex jewelry design and construction skills will be handled by other staff.
Ø Basic business duties:
o Must be able to assist in the re-ordering of stock merchandise.
o Must be able to receive merchandise in and check off against purchase order.
o Must be able to price merchandise and put it out on the sales floor.
o Must be able to handle a cash register and receive payments for goods by cash, check, or credit card (or a combination of).
o Must be able to follow procedures related to the sale of consigned merchandise.
o Must be able to conduct inventories.
o Must have basic understanding of computers and be able to pull up files and print documents for distribution to customers.
o Must be able to handle input into a computer for invoices for wholesale customers.
Ø Basic housekeeping duties:
o Must be able to vacuum carpet, clean jewelry cases, empty small trash cans, clean studio work stations, and other cleaning duties as assigned.
o Must be able to clean jewelry.
o Must be able to dust display cases, and light fixtures.
Ø All Other Duties as assigned.
